abstract="Psoriasis is a frequent skin disease that affects up to 4% of the population; its presentation in exposed areas constitutes a factor of stigmatization and social rejection; it has been linked to various psychiatric diseases, including depression, anxiety and suicidal behavior; in recent years, several case reports and original articles have been published that analyze the relationship between psoriasis and different types of suicidal behavior, although the results obtained are inconsistent and difficult to compare due to methodological issues. In this review, we analyze the information between 1975 and 2019 about the relationship between psoriasis and suicidal ideation, suicidal intention and consummated suicide. © 2021 Comunicaciones Cientificas Mexicanas S.A. de C.V..
