abstract="To examine the self - injury suicide behavior of adolescent depression patients from an ethical perspective, and according to the analysis results put forward intervention suggestions. Selected adolescents with depression were admitted to the psychiatric department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from July 2017 to July 2020, analyzed and compared psychological, family and social factors of patients with self -injury suicide behavior and not with a self - injury suicide behavior, found out the influence factors of adolescent depression self - injury suicide behavior, and examined and gave suggestions from the perspective of ethics. The study included 230 adolescent depression patients, 88 males (38.26%), 142 women (61. 74%). Gender, interpersonal relationships, triggers, course of disease differ between patients with and without self - injury suicidal behavior (P < 0. 05), only child and the score of PHQ - 9 were the risk factors of self - injury suicide behavior in adolescents (P<0. 05). It was found that complex psychological contradictions, mental disorders, people around the people do not understand or even blame are the current causes of adolescent depression self - injury suicide behavior of ethical distress. It is accepted by ethics to conduct timely counseling for their psychological problems, correctly understand the patients themselves and the people around them for their mental disorders, and intervene and treal them as soon as possible. © 2021 Editorial department of Chinese Medical Ethics.
