abstract="OBJECTIVE: In the context of a care program for teenagers in a crisis situation we always propose, at the beginning of the treatment, a meeting (consultation) with the family to evaluate relationships. During this meeting each family member a presents his/her own reaction in relation to the symptoms experienced by the teenager focusing especially on what each person gives and receives. The appraisal of the meeting according to the principles of the contextual therapy makes it possible to evaluate parental attitudes, loyalty conflicts, and sometimes the expression of a justified destructive legitimacy. This case study aims to establish the links, from a psychodynamic point of view, between the systemic or contextual problems observed and the symptoms of the teenager. We aim to highlight the importance of this meeting in determining the appropriate treatment for the teenager and sometimes his family. This study is based on 20 family consultations. It relates to teenagers whose symptoms are: suicide attempts (8 cases), nervous breakdown (5 cases), breakdown of school attendance (3 cases), dangerous behaviour (3 cases), anorexia and anorexia (1 case). This analysis of the 8 suicide attempts showed 6 situations of conflicts of loyalty, 3 due to parental attitudes, and 7 times out of the 8 suicide attempts 7 were related to justified destructive legitimacy. This study reveals the probable link between conflict of loyalty and auto-aggressivity arising from his justified destructive legitimacy. © 2019 Elsevier Masson SAS<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
