abstract="PURPOSE of Review: Social media is used nearly ubiquitously by youth. Over the past decade, research has investigated ways in which social media may affect adolescent health both positively and negatively. Recent Findings: We highlight five areas of work with newly emerging evidence in adolescent health: eating disorders, suicide, sexual health, substance use, and prevention. We also highlight new tools to promote safe social media use. Summary: Social media is a set of digital tools that influences adolescent health. By understanding current evidence around challenges and opportunities, we can leverage these tools to improve patient care. © 2018, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
