abstract="This article aims at offering some possible reading operators for the development of analyzes on the issue of suicide in literature. The proposal rises from the verification that, despite self-destruction being a constant subject in literary manifestations from the most diverse times, we seem not to have a tradition of studies looking at it with greater attention.
