abstract="The review presents the data on suicide frequency among hospitalized psychiatric and somatic patients. Risk factors connected to the availability of means of suicide, quality of surveillance and communicative ability of medical personnel are analyzed. Authors propose data on suicide and death due external causes among hospitalized patients in Belarus.
