abstract="As an example for the structure of conflicts in modern society, the contribution turns to the recent debate on assisted suicide in Germany. Conflicts in modern society can be described as translation-conflicts, which are characterized by the insuperable incongruity of different functional logics and "final values". The difference of perspectives basically can't be overcome but still punctiform translations can be observed permanently. A draft bill for regulating assisted suicide serves as an example for showing that the social figure of the professional doctor is one of the possibilities, which enable those translation-processes. © 2015 Schwabenverlag AG.

Language: de
",
