abstract="Burnout syndrome has long been underestimated in healthcare providers despite a high incidence, especially in anaesthesiologists. Risk factors are overactivity, lack of autonomy in decision-making, night shifts, and eventually conflicts in the operating theatre. The conditions promoting include a high level of constraints, the lack of control, and the lack of gratefulness. The burnout syndrome includes a series of symptoms such as fatigue, depression, and disinterest. To provide supportive assistance the French college of anaesthetists makes itavailable a free access to psychologists through a dedicated phone number. Physicians sufferingfrom a burnout syndrome needs to be taken away from their tasks, at least transiently andreintegrated progressively under medical control. © 2014 Elsevier Masson SAS.<p /><p>Language: fr</p>",
