abstract="Rationale: suicide is a subject of investigation for the medical sciences but also social sciences. Durkheim examines suicide and describes the state of anomie, without rules, in which citizenship as a result of rapid change, loses its connection with society and his belief in social rules and institutions, leading to individual despair and suicide. <br><br>OBJECTIVE: identify the social integration difficulties in depressive people with suicidal thoughts. <br><br>METHODology: we performed a qualitative study is part of a broader research on depression. Before the interview administered a questionnaire with demographic data, data on depression and causes identified, as well as test anxiety-depression Goldberg. Subsequently we carried out an in depth interview that we call life story. Were interviewed 66 people diagnosed with depression, 52 women and 14 men consent.
