abstract="Special rescue from heights and depths (SRHT) is a rope-supported method to free people from extreme emergency situations. This study was a national survey about infrastructure and medical emergencies in SRHT. The most common emergencies are suicide attempts and trauma. The patients are often heavily affected and long periods of time have to be covered until delivery to the rescue services. The primary care must be provided by the task force staff. The medical training should focus on suicidal patients, trauma management and harness suspension injuries. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.<p /><p>Language: de</p>",
