abstract="This paper discusses the main reasons presented by supporters of assisted suicide, i.e. the autonomy of the will and the impact of organisations such as Dignitas. The aim is to develop moral criteria by going beyond the judgments that typically result from the personal encounter between the suicidal person and the potential assistant. Thus, modifying traditional theological reasoning, suicide is rejected on grounds relating to the principle of appropriate means. This allows for more precise differentiation in the evaluation of suicide assistance. © Zeitschrift für medizinische Ethik. All rights reserved.<p /><p>Language: de</p>",
