abstract="Reported is of an emergency case of a 42 years old male, who was suffering of a depressive disorder after the divorce from his wife, and was killing hisself. The method of suicide was strangulation. The present brother-in-law was suffering from the dicision of death by the emergency physician an acute stress disorder and was discompensating psychically. He was mentioning suicide intentions, in order to take tablets. The present emergency physician was injecting him 12 mg Diazepam and was making a hospitalization to a psychiatric hospital. Emergency physicians are always meeting relatives, who are conspicuous psychically after the death of a patient, so that there must be given any medications or made a hospitalization in a psychiatric clinic. The education of the "certification of emergency service" due to the curriculum of the Bundesärztekammer prescribes only 2 × 45 minutes for the subjects drugs emergency cases and psychiatric emergency cases in the psychiatric disorders. In our opinion the education of the starting emergency physicians must be intensified, especially in view of the relatives, who can develop psychically an acute stress disorder.

Language: de
",
