abstract="A linear prospective study of 200 cases of suicidal attempts, using a closed survey, was carried out during two years (1994 and 1995) at Camaguey's Psychiatric Hospital. The Socio-clinical evolution of patients was assessed. Surveys were given at the beginning and at the end of the follow-up. The main variables considered were repeated attempts and the solution of conflicts.

RESULTS: There was a predominance of females between 15 and 24 years of age. They were mostly working by the time they tried to commit suicide, they had marital conflicts and had a diagnosis Transient Situational Disorder. Big differences were found between those patients with repeated attempts and those who did not try again as well as between those who find a solution for their conflicts and those who did not.

Language: es
",
