abstract="Aims: 1. Verify the relationship between Panic Disorder and Suicide. 2. Verify if the comorbidity with other axis I disorders or Personality disorders increase the frequency of suicide attempts, in panic patients. <br><br>METHODology: 1. Bibliographical review through MEDLINE system (1980 - 1998). 2. Study of clinical cases of the Program of Anxiety and Depression - IPUB-UFRJ Brazil. <br><br>RESULTS: The literature review in relationship between Panic Disorder and suicide attempts shows results ranging from 1,3% to 57%. <br><br>CONCLUSIONS: Data suggest that comorbidity with other anxiety and depressive disorders and personality disorders and the severity of Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia may constitute risk factors for suicide attempts in panic patients.<p /><p>Language: pt</p>",
