abstract="<p>Nearly one in three (30%) teenage American girls (aged 14 to 18) seriously considered attempting suicide in 2021, up from a fifth (19%) in 2011, according to a report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).1 The highest rate of suicidal ideation was seen among LGBQ+ students with 45% affected in 2021.
