abstract="In order to enrich and perfect theoretical system of modern safety ethics，based on connotation of modern safety ethics，its principle were analyzed. Three basic principles of modern safety ethics，namely human⁃foremost value orientation，safety publicity，and safety & health belief and accident preventability belief，were combed and analyzed from level of ethics philosophy. Then，eight inferences of basic principles of modern safety ethics were proposed，such as maximum happiness and principle of absolute safety liability. The results show that these basic principles and their inferences at level of ethics philosophy constitute &quot;3-8&quot; philosophy principle system of modern safety ethics，and they are interrelated and mutually promoted. © 2020 China Safety Science Journal.
