abstract="In order to address heat damage in return⁃air section of long⁃distance excavation roadways，cooling models of roadways were simulated by using Fluent CFD software. Firstly，an idea of sectional cooling was proposed，and 3D geometric models of roadways respectively with conventional press ⁃ in ventilation and sectional cooling technology were established by utilizing SpaceClaim software. Secondly，these models were meshed by meshing software，and their parameters were set and numerically simulated by Fluent software. Finally，concept of effective cooling areas was put forward and simulation results for conventional press⁃in ventilation and sectional cooling technology were analyzed. The results show that in a 100 m long roadway model，cooling effect of the model with sectional cooling technology is 17.7% higher than that of conventional cooling model. Moreover，return⁃air temperature of the former is 1-2 ℃ lower than that of the latter. © 2020 China Safety Science Journal. All rights reserved.<p /><p>Language: zh</p>",
