abstract="By using FEM and Drop Weight Test, the effect installing a partition wall in the cross section of a thin-walled square tube on axial collapsing behavior was quantitatively clarified to ensure high crash energy absorption．Installing a partition wall into cross section of thin-walled square tube resulted in controlling out of plane displacement within cross section of one as high tensile strength sheet steel is used. As a result, a thin-walled square tube with high energy absorption was confirmed.
