abstract="The RULA study was carried out by UEA to asses an alternative methodology to that being tested in the WTP survey. The sample of 10 experts mapped injury descriptions onto existing health scales. While it was successful in producing valuations it had a number of shortcomings: the most important were that it was not a choice-based valuation and that the scales were based on illness/diseases and not injuries. In addition, there is much controversy about the duration of the symptoms and people's valuation of time in relation to injury states.<p />",
