abstract="<p>To the Editor Early intervention in health settings is urgently needed to address intimate partner violence (IPV), yet little evidence of effective IPV nursing interventions exists globally. The clinical trial by Dr Jack and colleagues aimed to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged pregnant and postpartum women by augmenting an existing nurse home visiting program with an IPV intervention. Quality of life improved with both the augmented and the standard programs, but there was no statistically significant difference between groups.
