abstract="<p>The Research Letter titled “Use of Death Counts From Vital Statistics to Calculate Excess Deaths in Puerto Rico Following Hurricane Maria,” published in the October 9, 2018, issue of JAMA,1 included incorrect mean historical death counts. In the Table, the data in the second column reporting 2010-2016 mean historical patterns of death were found to be incorrect. The updated data do not affect the conclusions. This article was corrected online and was previously corrected to fix an error in the upper 95% CI limit of excess deaths in September 2017.</p> <p>Language: en</p>",
