abstract="Restraint systems - shoulder harness for driver & right-front passenger, lap belts for other passengers; lap belts for all occupants, air bag for all occupants; and air bag and lap belt for all occupants - are compared for: (1) potential human lives saved in 1969; and (2) potential baboon and human head-on crashes survived dependent on the type of restraint system used. In addition comparisons are presented for maximum head decelerations for various restraints, maximum chest decelerations for various restraints, chances of survival as a result of maximum deceleration, barrier - equivalent speeds for single-impact frontal fatality vehicles and lves saved as a result of the active restraint system used.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
