abstract="The practices of professional soccer fans in Mexico are developed in contexts of relative violence and danger, for which researchers must maintain rigorous methodological and ethical protocols. From 2007 to 2012 I did an ethnographic research for my doctoral thesis with organized fans of the Club América of Mexico City. On some occasions I was involved in situations of physical violence in which I ran certain risks, which did not compromise my life, but did involve potential injuries or repercussions of a legal or administrative nature. First, I briefly describe the context of the amateur groups that are organized in Mexico. Then I will give some examples of situations and testimonies of violence by members of the amateur youth groups of the América club. Finally, I make some methodological and ethical reflections related to the work in the field in those circumstances of violence.<p /> <p>Language: pt</p>",
