abstract="The purpose of this study is to verify the moderating effect of basic psychological needs satisfaction in the relationship between ambivalence over emotional expression and aggression of adolescent. For this purpose, 482 middle school and high school students in Seoul, Kyunggi, and Choongnam regions were measured for ambivalence over emotional expression, aggression and basic psychological needs satisfaction. The collected data was analyzed through a frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis using the spss 18.0 program. The results of the study were as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the correlations between the variables, there was a significant positive correlation between ambivalence over emotional expression and aggression. There was a significant negative correlation between ambivalence over emotional expression and autonomy of basic psychological needs satisfaction. Second, in the relationship between ambivalence over emotional expression and aggression, basic psychological needs satisfaction was found to show the moderating effect. Especially, in the case of aggressive group, it was found that not only the basic psychological needs satisfaction but also competence and relationship, which is a sub-domain of the basic psychological needs satisfaction, showed the moderating effect on the relationship between ambivalence over emotional expression and aggression. Based on the results of this study, it can be said that counseling, education and programs are needed to improve competence and relationship among adolescent in the situation where the ambivalence over emotional expression of adolescents can appear as aggression. <p /> <p>Language: ko</p>",
