abstract="Child sexual abuse is a silent crime committed under the veil of disguise. Almost all the developing countries are facing this problem. The only effective mechanism in a civilized society to protect children against sexual crimes is the criminal justice system of a country. The criminal justice system needs legislative developments to prevent and curtail child sexual abuse and to protect children against sexual crimes more effectively and strictly. This paper will examine the legislative developments protecting children against sexual crimes in the criminal justice system of developing countries such as South Africa, Pakistan and India. The reason for choosing South Africa as a model country is that policy and legislative framework are in place in South Africa supporting the child rights. A lot of legislative developments have been introduced in the criminal justice system of South Africa. Considering the nature of the paper literature review method is used to formulate this paper. The legislative developments addressing child sexual abuse in the criminal justice system of South Africa will be examined to form the basis of effective legislative developments in the criminal justice system of Pakistan and India to protect children against sexual crimes.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
