abstract="At the beginning of their legislative period, the German governing parties contracted a coalition agreement called &quot;Creating Germany's future''. Among others, this agreement aimed to reform the law of driving instruction and to improve the quality of driving instructor training. Regarding the latter, Bruenken, Leutner et al. (2015) provided - on behalf of the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) - an expert report. In this report, they suggest a competence-oriented concept of a modularized driving instructor training, which is based on the current state of research and which takes into account suggestions of various groups of stakeholders. Furthermore, they defined professional as well as pedagogical and psychological competences of driving instructors, including the definition of related contents of learning. Finally, they developed proposals for adapting the requirements for entering a driving instructor training programme. In the present article the essential recommendations of the report are summarized. (A)<p /> <p>Language: de</p>",
