abstract="Since 1 May 2014 when the so-called &quot;Punktereform&quot; came into force, traffic offenders can voluntarily attend a &quot;Fitness to Drive course''. Attending the course should support the drivers in recognizing and reducing their deficits regarding road safety. Therefore, in developing the concept of the course, traffic pedagogical and traffic psychological intervention strategies were combined synergistically into two corresponding submeasures. At present, the traffic pedagogical submeasures that are carried out under the sponsorship of the Confederation of Driving lnstructor Associations are being formatively evaluated. The emphasis is mainly on assessing the acceptance and the learning effectiveness of the submeasure.
