abstract="Because suicide survivor resources were lacking in Germany, in 1989 suicide survivors took the initiative to start the development of a national survivor network including a range of public activities. Today there is a close network of special resources for people bereaved by suicide. After 15 years of development, the expertise of the network includes how: - to define basic requirements, - to make necessary choices, - to search assistance and resources, - to set goals and planning, - to deal with financial affairs, - to evaluate. Practical experience will be reported from the development of the national network in Germany and from an example of the self-help-organization "AGUS - Angehorige um Suizid" (www.agus-selbsthilfe.de).

Language: en
",
