abstract="Acetaminophen, a commonly used medication, is present in many over-the-counter remedies. In recent years, its potential to cause severe liver injury has been increasingly appreciated. Chronic abusers of alcohol may be particularly susceptible to hepatotoxicity from acetaminophen.
