abstract="International Journal of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (IJPBS)  The objective of the study is to investigate various factors associated with suicides among married women in Telangana area, Andhra Pradesh (India). This is a retrospective study, which includes 5308 medicolegal cases autopsied at Department of Forensic Medicine, Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal (A.P.) from 1 January, 2007 to 31 December 2012 were reviewed the postmortem reports, Investigation officer (panchanama, Police Station) and Mandal Executive Officer - investigation (in case of dowry deaths). Out of 5308 autopsies conducted 1104 cases belongs to suicide deaths married women aged between 25-40 years. The factors related to suicide deaths are 90% illiterate, 30% ill health reason, 20% dowry reasons, 22% married women state of menstruation at time of committing suicide, 46% women age group 25-40 years committing suicide by agriculture pesticides poisoning followed by burning, drowning and hanging.
