abstract="This article focuses on road rage, the term used to describe highly aggressive drivers and driving. The incidence and prevalence of aggressive and violent driving is examined, and it is concluded that both are on the rise. Experts believe that loss of control, frustration, and isolation caused by over-burdened schedules and congested roads have fueled the rise in road rage. A profile of the &quot;typical&quot; aggressive driver is presented followed by an explanation of the ways in which societal problems manifest themselves on the road.
