abstract="Traffic-related injury is a matter of health and social concern in Vietnam, every year tens of thousands of deaths and injuries occur. Traffic injuries also cause loss of property to the victims, their families and create a burden for society. With the aim of contributing to the description of traffic injury situation, and given the initial description of the severity and the cost of loss caused by traffic injuries, this study has conducted in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province in 2002. This is a retrospective survey described based on the 93 victims of Luong Son district injured when a motorcycle traffic between 1/1/2002-31/12/2002 time to examination / treatment at the District Health Centre (TTYTH) Liangshan within 24 hours. The data were collected based on direct interviews of victims or family, the clinical data are also used to calculate the severity based on standard indicators: ISS, RTS, Triss . Results of the study showed that traffic injuries (CTGT) most occurred in the convenient traffic conditions and road users generally fail to comply with traffic laws. Most of the injuries (CT) are not too serious, CT location mainly head and neck, the most common type of CT CT software. Duration of treatment in health facilities (CSYT) an average of 3.45 days, time off school / work an average of 19.1 days and the average cost for a collision is 2.6 million .
