abstract="The investigation reported in this article concerns 212 homeless adolescents in Amsterdam, Holland. The results are presented in Five dimensions: negative family backgrounds, long history of professional help, negative experiences at school, few friends, and low self-perception. Homeless youngsters are in high risk situations which make them vulnerable to delinquency, prostitution, addiction, etc. Homelessness -- often underestimated by the authorities as well as by the youngsters themselves -- is a multidimensional problem.<p />",
