abstract="Considerable attention has been focused on involving students as peer counsellors in the delivery of counselling services. The City-Wide Peer Project was designed to integrate the peer counselling training resources of three school districts and two independent schools in the Greater Victoria region of Southern Vancouver Island (a major urban area in British Columbia, Canada). The roles and activities of the students who were trained and supervised as peer counsellors are described. A comprehensive evaluation design is detailed and the interim results of the two-year project are presented along with a number of cautions.<p />",
