abstract="Mental health professionals are asked increasingly to conduct assessments of sexually abusive youth. A comprehensive assessment procedure is necessary to develop an appropriate treatment plan, and this article reviews the psychological tests and psychophysiological procedures currently used to evaluate adolescent sexual offenders. The present knowledge on the assessment of risk for recidivism, future directions in the assessment of adolescent sexual offenders, and suggestion for research are presented. This review can serve as a guide for clinicians who are requested to conduct an evaluation of adolescent sexual offenders.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
