abstract="This paper begins with a very simple model based on the choice of timetable. It examines the consequences of market structure (competition, monopoly, social optimum), adding a fourth type of organization, the cooperative of suppliers who combine together for the operation of a company. The final section reexamines the results, compares them with those found in the literature and proposes how they can be adapted to similar situations. I wish to express my thanks to the anonymous referee who kindly made a number of pertinent comments on a previous version of this paper and enabled me to set the work within a context of similar research.<p />",
