abstract="Taking charge of sexual offenders represents an interesting subject for the masses, but also for the health and judicial professionals. Our legislator has created a lot of arrangements in order to facilitate the access to care or in order to force these individuals to accept care. But what is there to take charge of? In most cases, sexual offenders do not suffer from any mental disease. Even if their acts may seem mad, they are very seldom perpetrated by mad men. Sexual offenders are handled by the judicial and health systems by their own logics. The medical approach may be interesting, as sexual deviations are often underlying such transgressions. If not handled, these deviations may facilitate repeat offences. Our article presents a synthesis of actual progresses in the judicial and therapeutically "arsenals" intended for this population and the recommendations dedicated to psychiatrists and psychologists in their approach.

Language: fr
",
