abstract="Lacerations of the Achilles tendon are caused by a number of mechanisms. The toilet seat as a cause of Achilles tendon injury is rare. We report on this rare mechanism of laceration of the tendo Achilles. The injury can be avoided with the use of western toilets and the additional devascularisation caused by extending the wound should be avoided while repairing the tendon in such situations.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
