abstract="By means of clinical examinations, the acid/base balance, angiography, scintigraphy of the brain, EEG and other methods, the author examined 95 patients presenting the respective signs and deals with the etiology, the course and the treatment of a clinical syndrome that appears in the way of a cerebral contusion after minor craniocerebral traumas. Cortical congestion of the blood flow in the region of the brain exposed to the injury were found. Because of a vascular dilatation, the volume of the respective region increases resulting in sings of the intracranial pressure increase. A typical sign of this syndrome is the delayed reaction of the cerebral vessels to changes of the pCO2 which permits the use of the natural hyperventilation together with a withdrawal of cerebrospinal fluid for a considerable reduction of the symptoms.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
