abstract="The Los Angeles County Health Department reports an outbreak of chemical poisoning among 19 persons in a private household. Of these, 11 became ill with dizziness, weakness, &quot;hot taste in mouth,&quot; vomiting, nausea, and slight diarrhea less than 30 minutes after eating mustard greens. The greens were from a truck farm where the mustard was sprayed with nicotine sulphate the day before being picked. Laboratory examination of the mustard greens revealed the presence of nicotine alkaloid.",
