abstract="The potential metrology errors that appear when estimating the state of corrosion-resistant pipe surface, namely roughness, indices of general and pitting corrosion are analyzed. It is shown that for determination of technological manufacturability of high-duty pipes with enhanced corrosion resistance it is necessary to follow the possibilities of surface microrelief 3D - analysis. It will enable to describe the surface in the initial state and in the process of service as well as to work out methods to remove disadvantages.",
