abstract="The study described reports on the effects of changing two signals within a 5-signal system, from fixed-time to actuated operation. Signal spacing is one-half mile, giving a 30 MPH progressive speed with coordinated operation and 60-second cycles. Two signals at the end of the system were converted to 8-phase full actuated type, without coordinating units.<p />",
