abstract="A series of calculations were made of various lot sizes first to determine the most efficient parking angle in terms of maximum parking space use for given dimensions, and second, to determine the relative efficiencies of all other parking angles. This study confirms that 90-degree parking in 67 percent of the cases has the most efficient layout for rectangular parking lots for lot lengths greater than 100 feet. Ninety-degree angle parking is not necessarily recommended in all cases because inherent disadvantages exist. The primary utility of the study is the ability to quantify the loss in parking spaces resulting from using angle parking in exchange for maneuverability and convenience.<p />",
