This article presents a review of four widely accepted documents presenting standards relating to residential street design. The article provides a brief synopsis of each volume as well as its principles of street design. The author writes that in addition to simple capacity and traffic safety, environmental and quality of life factors should be reflected in design recommendations.<p />",
