abstract="An experiment was conducted to assess the effectiveness of several different sign configurations that indicated the presence of a horizontal curve ahead on two-lane, two-way rural roads. The experiment was carried out at two sites in central Maine. This article presents an analysis of the results of that study. In general, it was found that drivers' behavior differed from what was desirable and that no sign configuration could be concluded to have been more effective than the others.<p />",
