abstract="The increasing urbanization in the developing countries brought forth thequestions of the safety on the road while performing the daily routine commutation. The traffic on the road is increasing day by day with the additions of variations in the vehicles. The traffic density is increasing while the capacity of road inventories is not yet meeting demand. Safety whileyou commute to you destination is essential for the individual. The paperevaluates the accidental data in relation to the spatial attributes, where an attempt to find the location where maximum fatal accidents take place on the roads that are abutting them are made. Also the road type on which the accident rate is high is identified. These results will assist the planner in interweaving the road network in given urban fabric.<p />",
