abstract="The article examines the performance of five measurement scales against three criteria on an organization-specific sample comprising a mix of employees. The usefulness of such scales depends upon two further factors. First, they should have equivalent psychometric characteristics across different samples. Second, there exists a need for the accumulation of descriptive statistics for use in subsequent diagnostic and comparative work. In general the scales were found to have good reliability, to be factorially distinct and to reveal satisfactory construct validity.<p />",
