abstract="A rare case of gravid uterine rupture secondary to motor vehicle accident trauma is presented. The case illustrates the serious risk to the fetus as well as the potential for maternal catastrophe with this condition. Normal physiological changes in pregnancy hinder the early diagnosis in many cases.
