abstract="This article describes the implementation of a new program in the Tulsa Police Department which utilizes highly trained registered nurses to do forensic examinations on victims of rape in that community. The program is a multidisciplinary effort among various medical, legal, and law enforcement entities in Tulsa, with coordination provided by the mayor's office.
