abstract="An epidemiologic interview was carried out in 279 children between 2-5 years represented the highest risk group. Male children were more frequently affected (57.7%). Most poisoning happened at home. Medicines and cleaning products were the most relevant poisons. Only 81 children (29%) were admitted, generally for 26 hours.
